An interesting development occured this week where we have found that Quest Migration Manager for Exchange v8.3 is not compatible with Exchange Server 2007 SP2 for customers who are running this QMM version and are tempted to upgrade their Exchange server versions.

As of the time of writting, Out of the Box QMM v8.4 is also not supported against Exchange Server 2007 SP2 however Quest have released an update for QMM v8.4 which patches the SQL database to make it compatible and supported with Exchange Server 2007 SP2.

When deploying QMM v8.4 install the Hotfix: MigrationManagerForExchange8.4Update20090828. It is not supported in deploy this hotfix against QMM v8.3.

This hotfix does not imply support with QMM for Exchange 2010 and does not synchronize any new attributes introduced as part of the Exchange 2010 schema updates which form part of Exchange 2007 SP2.
