Tim Eichmann - Chief Information Officer
Tim’s role as Parative’s Chief Information Officer is to review new technologies in the IT industry and evaluate how these can be developed and adapted into solutions for many of the common IT problems that Parative encounters on client sites. Tim specialises in Active Directory (Design & Migration), Identity Management, Security and Delegation models, Auditing and Compliance (Sarbanes Oxley, COCO, PCI-DSS), Microsoft Forefront Suite and Virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
With a background as a Solutions Architect for Microsoft and Quest products, as well as multiple Virtualisation platforms, Tim is currently creating a package of solutions to help businesses lower their IT services running costs, while still being able to deliver new technologies to make their organisations more agile in the current markets.
Tim has worked across most industries, including international businesses, insurance, banking & finance (Tim has undertaken security and migration designs for almost all of the major UK banks), central government, local government and health services. During his time at BT, Tim designed Active Directory implementations for the NHS National Project for IT (NPfIT) SPINE network, and delivered secure Active Directory designs for 2 of the 5 Local Service Providers with Capgemini.
Before founding Parative, Tim was Principal Consultant for Windows Management and Migration at Quest Software, where he undertook numerous migrations from NT4 and Windows 2000 to Windows 2003. Tim was also Quest’s Data Migration specialist with particular expertise in Compliance and Sarbanes Oxley for Quest’s EMEA region.
Tim was awarded a Bachelor of Information Technology (Major: Networking & Security) by Queensland University of Technology, Australia and is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator.
Outside of Parative, Tim’s hobbies include snowboarding, squash, and rock climbing. He also completed the ‘Tough Guy UK’ challenge in 2005.
