Here at Parative we are very pleased to announce the release of our new ‘Packed Services’ for Office 365. We’ve created 5 tiers of service to suit clients of all sizes and requirements. Read more here -> www.parative.com/cloud/Office365-Migration-Services.html
We have completed the migration of our whole company from the old BPOS platform onto the new Office 365 cloud platform and I can say we have been very impressed.
Lync 2010 has been the best new feature for our business. With our consultants working from literally anywhere we have embraced Lync for it’s rich collaboration. We can now see who’s online and if they are available for a quick chat or whether they are on site with a client thanks to the calendar integration. A quick instant message can turn into a screen sharing session with a VOIP call to quickly check settings and sign off documents.
Until you have Lync 2010 you won’t realise what a productivity boost it is for your business!
As a CIO I can honestly say that the benefits we have seen of moving to Microsoft’s cloud have been tangible. Not having to worry about hosting a Distaster Recovery copy of our email server means it’s one less thing to monitor to ensure it’s working perfect as well as removing the cost of hosting our DR servers. And now with the extra features we get from our E3 subscription like Lync 2010 and copies of Office Pro Plus for home, the upgrade from BPOS to Office 365 has been the best thing we’ve done this year IT wise.

Parative has beaten some of the UK’s largest systems integrators in a competitive bid for an international Notes to Exchange migration with a London based law firm.
Parative presented a compelling bid based on a migration from IBM Lotus Notes to recently released Microsoft Exchange 2010.
Using their extensive experience, and presenting recent large clients such as the Daily Mail Group Trust (Associated & Northcliff Media division), Parative talked their client through their migration process they have developed over the years based on PRINCE2. Parative discussed with their client all of the issues that occur at critical stages of the migration and how they are able to effectively neutralise or reduce the risks to the live user base and infrastructure.
In the end, Parative’s depth of experience in Notes migrations, as well as how they manage infrastructure change from their experience in performing over 200 migrations was one of their key differentiator from the other competitors.
“Unlike other systems integrators we specialise in migration” stated CEO Lloyd Carnie, “This means our consultants perform more migrations in one year than most consultants will perform in their career. This means we’ve seen more issues from each client’s unique environment, so we can look for and mitigate these problems with our next client. Good project management and lessons learnt is how a company and their consultants grow. We’ve performed over 200 migrations to date, for clients as large as 150,000 users, so out of all of the companies saying they do migration it’s safe to say we can steer our clients along the safest course for their migration.”
