Primary Difference

Customer Success Platforms (CSPs) allow customer-facing teams to keep track of the relationships they have with their customers. These tools operate largely as CRMs with CS-specific functionality, such as health scoring, playbook automation, and lifecycle management.

Parative is first and foremost an AI-powered customer data engine designed to unify customer data in order to identify and convert growth opportunities from within an existing customer population. Parative's core solution is used to forecast NRR pipeline, identify expansion opportunities across all upsell/cross-sell paths, and leverage automation to drive conversion at scale. Unlike many tools, Parative is headless, meaning it has the option of being delivered entirely to the other systems teams use as a way to enrich those tools rather than add more tools to an employee's daily workflow.

To Sum It up

Summary

The base version of Parative is not competitive with CSPs. It can be integrated with an existing CSP to leverage the customer data stored their to help power Parative's NRR pipeline management tools, expansion opportunity identification system, and expansion automation engine.

However, Parative can be expanded through a collection of add-on modules – Parative VoC, Parative CX, and Parative CS – to consolidate a customer's tech stack into a single Unified CX platform. The latter of these optional modules – Parative CS – is a CSP replacement. It can be used by Success teams as a standalone CRM, or within the existing CRM as a CS conversion kit. As with all CSPs, Parative CS is used by teams to manage their accounts across lifecycle stages, run playbooks, score for health, and drive renewals.
